Should I empty my wardrobes and drawers?

Furniture is not built to be moved while full. Chests of drawers should be emptied before moving to avoid making them unstable. It is understandable that you may not have a set removal date yet. We recommend 4 weeks’ notice prior to removal, however we appreciate that there are a number of contributing factors that may mean you are unable to give this much notice. For this reason, we offer a provisional booking process where we will allocate a crew for your removal on the provisional moving date you advise.

With our in-home estimate, your local Alpha Group Removals agent will come to your home to complete a visual survey of the belongings you plan to move.
